Bethlehem is more than a nativity scene. It’s more than a silent night or shepherds watching flocks. It’s rich in Biblical history.
It’s the town where heaven touched earth.

When we created the Bethlehem Historical Tour VR, we didn’t just want people to see a stable—we wanted them to understand why Jesus had to be born there, of all places.

🙋 Why I Built This

After my trip to Jerusalem was canceled during the pandemic, I realized something bigger than my own disappointment: there are millions of people who may never get to go to the Holy Land.
Not because of COVID, but because of cost, health, or circumstance.

So just like with our Jerusalem VR tour, we worked with a guide in Israel to help us build something immersive, reverent, and real. We took photos of actual sacred sites, recorded narration, studied scripture, and put it together to make a succinct non-walking tour you can enjoy form your living room couch.

This Bethlehem experience was built to answer the question:

What if you could not only read the Christmas story… but stand in it?

🏠 Why Bethlehem?

Bethlehem means “House of Bread” in Hebrew. Fitting, right?
Jesus, the Bread of Life (John 6:35), was born in a town tied to provision and promise.

But there’s more.

  • It’s the city of David (Luke 2:4)

  • It’s where Ruth met Boaz, leading to Jesus’ family line

  • It’s where the Messiah was prophesied to be born (Micah 5:2)

  • It’s where Rachel was buried (Genesis 35:19)

  • And it’s where hope broke into the world in the form of a baby

📖 Explore These Sacred Sites in VR

You’re not just sightseeing—you’re standing where it all happened:

  • 🪨 Cave of the Nativity – long believed to be Jesus’ birthplace

  • 🕍 Church of the Nativity – the oldest functioning church in the Holy Land

  • 🧱 First-century homes & streets – reconstructed with historical accuracy
